Tamils protest as Rajapaksa visits India

Activists in Tamil Nadu, India held a protest this week in Bangalore condemning the Sri Lankan president's visit to the country to speak at an event organised by The Hindu newspaper. 

The protesters held placards condemning his role in the "Eelam genocide" and demanding "Rajapaksa Go Back". 

Rajapaksa, who is at present Leader of the Opposition, is on a two day visit to the country during which time he was invited by The Hindu paper to deliver the keynote speech on India-Sri Lanka relations at a forum in Bangalore.
