Tamils in Mullaitivu call for release of political prisoners

Tamils in Mullaitivu held a demonstration on Saturday, calling for the immediate release of Tamil political prisoners.

Gathering in front of the Mullaitivu bus stand, relatives of the disappeared or detained chanted slogans calling for the new Sri Lankan government to act.

The protest was organised by the Tamil National People's Front (TNPF), together with members of the Mullaitivu Citizen's Committee.
