Sri Lankan navy arrests Indian man in Mannar

The Sri Lankan navy announced that it had arrested an Indian national in Mannar on Thursday.

The man, who has not been named by the military, reportedly had 1.2g of cannabis in his possession.

The navy also seized his phone, 200 Sri Lankan rupees and 20 Indian rupees, and handed him over the Sri Lankan police for “legal action”.

It remains unclear as to which charges the man is being held under.
