International Women’s Day marked with rally for justice in India

Hundreds of Tamil Nadu youth marked International Women’s day with a rally calling for justice for those Eelam Tamil women killed by the Sri Lankan security forces.

Vidiyal, Sound for Gender Equality and the Tamil Youths and Students Federation held a joint rally on Sunday, where they also called for equality for women in India.

 

Highlighting the case of Tamil newsreader Isaipriya, the youths called for justice for those killed and sexually abused by the Sri Lankan security forces, stating that the crimes committed amount to genocide.
