Developing the education infrastructure ...

The Sri Lankan government announced plans today that involved constructing a new branch of The Defence Services College in Kurunegala.

The Defence Services College was initially set up in Colombo to accommodate children of security forces and police personnel.

The proposal to expand the Defence Services Colleges was made by the President in his capacity as Defence Minister and the Education Minister, Bandula Gunawardena. The government plans to expand the college to other districts in the island to accommodate children of the armed forces and personnel.
