Special prayers at Keerimalai for Mullivaikkal dead

A special prayer service was conducted at the Keerimalai temple on Wednesday in memory of the tens of thousands of Tamils killed in 2009 as the armed conflict drew to an end.

Families of the dead made traditional offerings at the water front for their deceased loved ones.

Despite the risks, our team on the ground remain committed to providing detailed and accurate reporting of developments in the Tamil homeland, across the island and around the world, as well as providing expert analysis and insight from the Tamil point of view

We need your support in keeping our journalism going. Support our work today.
