The Sri Lankan military announced the opening of a newly constructed residence for Buddhist monks, at a temple in the Eastern Province last week.
Troops from the 223 Brigade, who had taken part in the construction coordinated by Brigadier N. Hathurusinghe also participated in the opening ceremony, reports the official army website.
