Final preparations were underway yesterday at the Alankulam Thuyilum Illam (LTTE cemetry) in Sampur, Trincomalee, ahead of Tamil Remembrance Day or Maaveerar Naal on November 27.
A banner marking the event was hoisted and the ground cleared.
Volunteers, relatives of Maaveerar and local residents took part in the clear up effort.
