Residents and volunteers yesterday cleared the ground at Kanchikudiyaru thuyilum illam in Amparai ahead of Maaveerar Naal (Tamil Remembrance Day) on November 27.
Thuyilum illams across the North-East have been cleared over recent weeks in preparation of the commemorations.
