Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) ships docked in Colombo last week, where they were welcomed by the Sri Lankan navy.
The two Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) ships, "Ikazuchi" and "Murasame", were due to take part in a passage exercise (Passex) with two Sri Lankan navy vessels.
During the visit the Japanese Commander Escort Division I and Ships' Commanding Officers met with Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy Rear Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne in Colombo.
