A ceremony was held in Vellaveli, Batticaloa on Wednesday, to mark 31 years since the death of 2nd Lt Maalathy, the first female martyr of the LTTE.
The commemoration ceremony was organised by the Crusaders for Democracy and took place at their office in the Eastern Province.
