Sri Lankan president orders 'impartial inquiry' over Jaffna police shooting

The Sri Lankan president, Maithripala Sirisena ordered an impartial inquiry over the killing of two Jaffna University students by police officers on Thursday evening, the Presidential Media Unit reported. 
The students have been identified as 23 year old Nadarasa Kajan and 24 year old Pavunraj Sulaxan.
Five Sri Lankan policemen have been suspended and arrested over the deaths.
The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) leader R Sampanthan had on Friday called for an investigation into the killing.
