Kilinochchi locals protested at the town's market this morning, against attempts to oust C. V. Wigneswaran from his position as the Northern Province's Chief Minister.
The protest followed a call to action in support of the Chief Minister which resulted in similar protests in other districts, including a mass rally and widespread Hartal in Jaffna.
