Sri Lankan troops train on ‘riot control’ in Batticaloa

Sri Lankan soldiers station in the East had a training session n “riot control” last month, announced an official military website.

A total of 233 members including 11 Officers and 286 Other Ranks troops from the 4th Battalion the Gemunu Watch underwent the training program at the  Battalion Training School in Punani, in Batticaloa.

“The live demonstration conducted on Riot Control and the presentation touched the topic of ‘Revolt of 1971,” said an official military website.

Sri Lankan soldiers were photographed assembled under a photograph of the late JVP leader Rohana Wijeweera.
