More Indian fishermen arrested by Sri Lankan navy

The Sri Lankan navy arrested a group of 10 Indian fishermen near Neduntheevu on Saturday, for allegedly illegally entering Sri Lankan territory.

The latest arrests come after Sri Lankan security forces detained four Indian fishermen earlier in the week.

The arrested fishermen, from Nagapattinam district in Tamil Nadu, were taken to the Sri Lankan navy base in Karainagar with their trawler and fishing gear after being stopped by a SLNS Prathapa and Fast Attack Craft on patrol in the region.
