Tamils in the Netherlands commemorated Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day on May 18 and renewed calls for justice and accountability for the massacres in Mullivaikkal.
Tamils gathered to commemorate the victims of the genocide and displayed photographs documenting the massacres in 2009. Participants highlighted the ongoing struggle for justice and affirmed that 'Tamil Eelam is the only solution' to the occupation and oppression of the North-East.
Members of the Kurdish community also joined the demonstration, voicing their solidarity and support for the Tamil people’s struggle for self-determination.
