Skeletal remains and clothing of female LTTE cadres have reportedly been discovered in Muhamalai, in the Northern province earlier this week, according to the Jaffna daily Uthayan.
The remains, were unearthed by a de-mining team just metres away from the Muhamalai railway crossing, alongside clothing, guns and ammunition.
The Sri Lankan police are reported to be at the scene and have cordoned off the area.
