Mannar Urban Council marks Mullivaikkal at sitting

The Mannar Urban Council paid tribute to the victims of the Mullivaikkal massacres on Monday.

With the council sitting falling on May 18, members of the council lit candles and held a two minute silence at the start of the session.

The chair, deputy chair and other members of the council also pinned black cloths to their shirts to mark the genocide.
