Ahead of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP26, an advert both in The Herald and the National, two Scottish papers, speaks out against Sri Lanka's attempt to conceal its record of genocide behind claims of "climate leadership and stewardship".
This latest advert comes as part of a coordinated campaign by Scottish Tamils to raise awareness of the ongoing issues of human rights abuses in Sri Lanka and the failure to hold war criminals to account. In addition to numerous adverts, Tamil activists were successful in projecting images on landmarks across Scotland.
