The United States Embassy hosted a workshop on psychological operations for the Sri Lankan military in Kilinochchi earlier this month.

The workshop focused on “structure and purposes of psychological operations, information management, process of psychological operations, target audience analysis, recognition of propaganda and review,” according to a Sri Lankan military website.

Officers from Sri Lankan army units deployed in Jaffna, Vanni, Mullaitivu and Kilinochchi were all present.
