Sri Lankan troops stationed in Poonakari distributed spectacles to Tamils living in the area last week.
A military website stated that “under the guidance of Brigadier Charith Keppetiwalana” soldiers handed out glasses and carried out medical checks.
The event was held at the Poonaryn Sri Vigneshwaran School.
