Two Sri Lankan war ships are on a three day visit to the South Indian port in Kochi, Kerala.
The ships, Samudura and Nandimithra will be in the harbour till December 24, The Hindu reported.
The commanding officers of the vessels, Captain P.D.S. Dias and Captain A.M.S. Senavirathna, together with Captain W.H.U. Prasanna Hewage, Sri Lanka’s resident Defence Attaché in New Delhi, called on Rear Admiral R.B. Pandit, Chief of Staff of the Southern Naval Command, on Tuesday.
The Hindu further said various professional activities would be conducted between both navies and many exchanges between specialist officers and men of both navies aee lined up. Sri Lankan Navy personnel will also visit the training facilities at the Southern Naval Command.
