Sri Lankan Minister of Youth Affairs Dullas Allaha told journalists on Tuesday that Tamils who have migrated will never be granted the opportunity to cast votes in the election, as they would help to grow the LTTE movement in the country.
The Tamil National Alliance is reported to have requested the government to allow Tamil refugees in Tamil Nadu to cast votes in the presidential election next month. LankaSri quoted a state-owned Sinhala language paper, saying that this was the “master plan” of migrated LTTE supporters.
