Calling for justice for the killing of 3 Kurdish activists, including the PKK co-founder Sakine Cansiz, and 3 Tamil diaspora activists, including Col. Parithi in Paris, members of both communities took to the streets in a protest march last weekend.

Marching from the Kurdish Information Centre to 141 Rue La Fayette, protesters vowed to continue the struggle for justice.

Sakine Cansiz, was found shot dead in the Kurdish Information Centre in Paris on January 13th, 2013, along side, a representative of the Kurdish National Congress (KNC), Fidan Dogan, and Leyla Soylemez of the PKK.

In February this year, the German news magazine, Der Spiegal said German authorities had evidence suggesting that the Turkish secret service (MIT) had been involved. (See here for more).

Dismissing reports of a political assassination, the Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said the killing could have been due to an "internal feud".

Col. Parithi, or
Mathinthiran Nadarajah, the leader of the Tamil Coordinating Committee (TCC) in Paris, was shot dead on November 8th, 2012 in Paris as he left the TCC office.

A suspect who was detained by French police a few days later in connection with the murder claimed to have been offered a 50,000 Euros award and a Sri Lankan passport by an associate of the Sri Lankan Embassy in France for the murder, reported the French newspaper le Parisien. (See here for more).
