Another Hindu festival sees Sri Lankan soldiers watching over

A Hindu festival in Vaharai saw Sri Lankan soldiers overseeing proceedings last week.

Troops from the 233 brigade provided food to the thousands of devotees who came to the Kandallady Badrakali Amman Kovil, before they watched over proceedings in full military uniform.

The soldiers were “were blessed according to the Hindu rituals” reported a military website.
