Uthayan holds Mullivaikkal remembrance event

Staff at the Uthayan newspaper held an event remembering those that lost their lives in the last phase of the conflict at their office in Jaffna.

TNA MPs Maavai Senathirajah and Saravanabhavan , and NPC Councillor Mr Ayngaranesan were amongst those who paid their respects.

Members of the public were invited to donate blood as a mark of remembrance, at a specially set up clinic in the paper’s headquarters.
