Speaking at the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations (UNAOC) forum on Friday, Ban-ki Moon said he was “alarmed by the rising level of attacks in Sri Lanka against religious minorities.”
“We cannot allow communities to be threatened by atrocity crimes because of who they are, because of what they believe,” the Secretary General added.
The UNAOC, an initiative launched in 2005, seeks to promote better cross-cultural relations worldwide by working through innovative ideas and programme.
