UN to hold new round of Libya talks

The United Nations will hold a new round of Libya talks on Monday in Geneva to persuade warring parties to agree on a unity government, reports Reuters.

The UN mission for Libya in a statement said,

“Underscoring the significant progress achieved to date (UN envoy Bernardino) Leon is urging main parties to redouble their efforts and continue working together towards narrowing existing differences.”

Libya Dawn factions last year took over the capital to oust the internationally acknowledged government. Las month, some of the conflicting factions signed an initial UN sponsored deal to pave the way to form a unity government.
