TNPF office blocked off by army

Sri Lankan army soldiers surrounded the offices of the Tamil National People's Front (TNPF) ahead of the party's planned remembrance event for those that died at the end of the armed conflict.

This morning troops arrived, surrounding the area and blocking off the road and preventing all access.

Soldiers have been stationed outside the house of Mr. Kajendran in Thirunelveli since this morning, the Uthayan reported.
