Swiss Tamils demonstrates in solidarity with the students at Jaffna University as global outrage continues over the destruction of the monument dedicated to the tens of thousands of Tamils killed at the end of the armed conflict in 2009.

Following the incident, Jaffna University students launched an international appeal to universities and students, urging them to bring the issue to the attention of their respective governments and demand the Sri Lankan government to protect human rights and preserve their cultural identities.
