Sri Lankan troops donate blood in Jaffna

Soldiers from Sri Lanka’s Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment donated blood at Jaffna Teaching Hospital earlier this month.

Over a hundred soldiers took part in the event, state a Sri Lankan military website, which was reportedly held following a request for blood donations from the hospital.

The military said that “with the blessings of the Commander of the Army, the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna, commanded by Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi has taken the lead to support it” (sic).
