Sri Lankan opposition leader visits Jaffna

Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition and head of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) party, paid a visit to Jaffna on Tuesday. 

During his visit, he attended special prayers in the Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, a site of great cultural significance for Tamils. 

Premadasa was accompanied by fellow parliamentarian Buddhika Pathirana and others during his visit to Jaffna. 

The United National Party’s (UNP) Secretary Uma Chandra Prakash was also seen to participate in the special prayers in the temple.
