Sri Lankan army refurbishes Vanni base

The Sri Lankan military celebrated the refurbishment of a military base in Vanni this month, which includes the renovation of a badminton court at the 62 Division headquarters.

A ceremony was held on the 3rd of April to mark the construction of a new entrance, a new water purification plant, as well as a refurbished welfare complex and badminton court. Funds were provided in part from Sri Lanka’s Presidential Secretariat, reported an official army website.

The Commander of the Sri Lankan Security Forces in Vanni Major General J R Kulatunga was the chief guest at military organised ceremony.
