Sri Lanka navy denies attacking Tamil Nadu fishermen

Sri Lanka’s navy denied allegations that they attacked Indian fishermen reports Sri Lanka’s Daily Financial Times.

The Sri Lankan Navy spokesperson Captain Akram Alavi  said,

“The SLN will never attack or do any physical harm to the innocent fishermen even when they cross the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL). But we will take them into custody and will hand them over to the Police or the Department of Fisheries for further legal action.”
