Sinhalese mob attacks bus travelling to Jaffna

A bus transporting people from Vavaniya to Jaffna was attacked by a Sinhalese mob, reports the Uthayan

Storming the bus at a rest stop in Iranaimadu, the attackers verbally abused the passengers for being Tamil and linked to the LTTE.

A member of staff from a local bank who spoke up against the attackers, was beaten and dragged into the car of the mob before breaking free.

A complaint regarding the attack was filed at the Killinochchi police station.
