Signature campaign for international accountability continues at Jaffna University

The signature campaign, calling for an international accountability mechanism to provide justice for the tens of thousands of Tamil civilians killed during the final stages of the armed conflict has continued at the University of Jaffna on Thursday.

The campaign, organised by the Tamil Action Committee for International Accountability Mechanism (TACIAM), saw students, professors, lecturers, and other university employees and officials put their name to the demand, which has been ongoing in the North-East since last week.

Senior leaders ITAK official, Prof C.K. Sittampalam and NPC councillor Ms Ananthy Sasitharan also participated in today’s campaign
