Rajapaksa blessed at the Sacred Tooth for assuming Commonwealth Chair post

The Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa received blessings from the Buddhist clergy at the Scared Tooth relic in Kandy on Friday, for assuming the post of Commonwealth Chair. 

After partaking in religious ceremonies within the temple, Rajapaksa was blessed by the Malwatte  Chapter Mahanayake Thera Most Ven. Thibatuwawe Sri Siddartha Sumangala  Thera and Mahanayake of the Asgiriya Chapter Most Ven. Udugama Sri Buddharakkhitha Thera, reported the government's news portal, News.lk.
