Tamil nationalist groups in Tamil Nadu, Monday, merged to form a new political movement called the ‘Tamilar Desiya Munnani’ (Tamil National Front) to further the cause of Tamils, reports the New Indian Express.
Convening at the Mullivaikal Massacre Memorial, in Tamil Nadu, the group's president, P Nedumaran, said that the aim of the organisation was to work for a sovereign Tamil land, which retrieved Tamil industry and business from multinational corporations, abolished caste and aided Tamil refugees from other nations. Over 60 organisations in Tamil Nadu joined the new coalition, reports Uthayan.
