Morsi supporters sentenced to death in Egypt

Over 500 alleged supporters of the ousted former President Morsi, were issued death sentences by an Egyptian court today.

Commenting on the court’s decision, a Cairo based lawyer in favour of the proceedings, Gamil Dorgham, said,


“The decision is not a final one, but if it were final, it’s all right. You have to know we are fighting terrorism. We have to deter them.”
