The Indian government outlined today that it was yet to decide on its level of participation at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHoGM).
The Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesman, Syed Akbaruddin, said,
“Our view has been that we will take a call on this in due course. And this has also been reflected elsewhere including by the organisers. We will take a call well in time and we will also inform you on this.”
The last few months, have seen Tamil students and political parties in Tamil Nadu have been urge the Indian governance to boycott the meeting in Sri Lanka.
