Gang raped school girl's body exhumed in Vavuniya

The body of a Vanni school girl who was gang-raped and died on February 27 was exhumed on Monday, as sent for a post-mortem in Colombo, reports Colombo Mirror.

The 16 year old victim was named as Selvarasa Saranja. According to Colombo Mirror, her grandmother was pressurised by police officers to state that Saranja had died from a brain disorder, despite the doctor who treated her stating that she had been raped by three men before her death.
