The Batticaloa campus of the Eastern University saw a Maaveerar Naal remembrance event for the LTTE, attended by Tamil and Muslim students.
The student union of the Swami Vipulananda Institute of Aesthetic Studies organised the event in Kallady, Batticaloa.
Earlier in the day, students had a tribute event after morning lectures as well as organising a blood donation drive.
