Col Parithi memorial event held in London

A vigil was held for Nadarajah Mathinthiran, alias Colonel Parithi, who was assassinated last Thursday in Paris.

Hundreds of people filled Copland Community School in Wembley to remember Col Parithi on Sunday evening.

The sombre event was marked by speeches by several community leaders and there were queues as people lined up to light candles and lay flowers in his memory.
