The walk to raise awareness for Tamil demands for an international accountability mechanism concluded on Monday, when it reached its destination in Jaffna.
The last leg of the walk, from Kaithady to Nallur, in Jaffna, saw participants stop at the site of the Chemmani mass grave, where candles were lit in memory of the Tamils who were buried there.

The campaigners, including TNA MP T Siddharthan, NPC agriculture minister Ayngaranesan and NPC Councillors Ananthy Sasitharan and S Shivajilingam, stopped to hand a memorandum requesting India's support for an international mechanism, to the country's Consulate General in Jaffna.

A memorandum was also given to the Northern Province's Chief Minister CV Wigneswaran.
