A body of a male washed up on the bear near Trincomalee fort on Sunday, reports Uthayan and Batti News.
Trincomalee police said they have started an investigation into the death of the male, thought to be between 55 and 60 years old.
The body was taken to Trincomalee General Hospital for a post-mortem.
