Sri Lankan MP’s racist tirade against ‘black man’ Obama

An MP from the ruling UPFA, J.R.P. Suriyaperuma, has hurled abuse at several world leaders, including US President Obama, British Premier David Cameron and Indian PM Manmohan Singh.

Suriyaperuma said Obama was a “kalla” (Sinhalese for black man) who will get his skull smashed in by the joint powers of China and Russia, reported the Sunday Times.

The 85 year old MP also said David Cameron was a “political ghost” and a scoundrel who is losing power in the UK.

Indian PM Manmohan Singh was also attacked, with the MP saying India was “no longer a giant but a bug”.

“The Indian Prime Minister who promised to attend CHOGM and did not come has been rejected by the people at the election held to five Indian states. The old man will be thrown out of office soon. This fool has gone and created a new state in India now,” Suriyapperuma said.

“China is our external friend. If not for the weapons that China and Pakistan gave us, we would not have won the war,” he said.

According to the Sunday Times, none of the other MPs objected to his words, including External Affairs Minister GL Peiris, who was present for his tirade.
