Repeal the PTA - Signature campaign continues in Amparai

Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MPs organised a rally and petition in Kalmunai, Amparai as part of an island-wide campaign to repeal Sri Lanka’s draconian Prevention of Terrorism Act which has been roundly criticised by over 80 human rights and civil society organisations.

It further comes in advance of the next UNHRC session which will start at the end of February and will see a new report documenting the status of human rights in Sri Lanka.
