Sri Lanka's military distributes coconut saplings to families in Kilinochchi

The Commander of the Security Forces in Kilinochchi Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana oversaw the distribution of 100 coconut seedlings to families in the region on Thursday.

The families were invited to the 66 division Battalion Training School, to receive seedlings and booklets about the cultivation of coconuts during a ceremony with Major General Kariyakarawana reports the army.lk website.

The army general expressed the military’s intention to expand the outreach throughout the Kilinochchi district during his closing speech.
