Sri Lankan Navy opens new ‘Tactical Room’ at Trincomalee

The Sri Lankan navy declared open a new ‘Tactical Room’ at its Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee last week.

“This particular facility can be considered as a modern unit empowered with 19 communication sets that can be utilized to practically study how radio signals are simultaneously transmitted among a fleet of ships,” said Sri Lanka’s official navy website.

Senior military figures were present at the opening ceremony, which took place at the academy last week.
