Sri Lankan army runs Christmas Carol services in North

The Sri Lankan army arranged Christmas Carol services in Jaffna, Mullaitivu and Kilinochchi this week in order to "promote the relationship between military personnel and civilians", the army's website stated.

Wearing civilian clothes, army personnel from the 51st Division in Jaffna, 57th Division in Kilinochchi and 59th Division in Mullaitivu performed carol songs themselves and also handed out presents to the children. Mobile Christmas carol chariot also travelled through the Jaffna peninsula.
